Learn Affiliate Marketing: Tricks for Enticing Blog Posts
Monday, April 26, 2010
When you start to learn affiliate marketing, a lot of people focus on the nuts and bolts of it. They focus on learning how the networks work, how advertising works, and how to set up the technical side of things. What a lot of people don’t focus on, though, is the actual marketing. The simple tips below can go a long way towards improving your copywriting and blog posts.
- Use words like “top secret”, “never before revealed”, “important”, “amazing”, and “incredible”. These power words draw in viewers and make them curious about what you have to say.
- Pose a question. Instead of declaring what you have to say, rephrase it as a question. Get people to start mentally reaching for an answer. Once they start thinking about it, they’ll want to read on to see if their thoughts are the same as yours.
- Know your purpose. Are you going for SEO traffic? If not, don’t make a keyword heavy title. Instead, go for maximum intrigue. It’s possible to do both at the same time, but it’s rare.
- Use pictures. Pictures liven up the page and keep people interested.
Is blogging part of your affiliate marketing business plan? If not, it should be. I’m not saying that you need to start up a “how to make money online” blog, but nearly all of us could be diversifying our efforts with a good niche blog. Feel free to share your comments and experiences in the comments!
